Pond waters with off-white arcs of currents and off-white, muted orange and faded-denim blue flowers, on purple. This is a chirimen crepe silk print, very drapey, thin, light, flowy and supple.  It has a pebbled, grainy exture, a dry hand and no shine; classic traditional Chirimen Silk Crepe from Japan. The back is mostly the same purple but the print does come through a bit. Decades ago, thesepieces were parts of a kimono. The kimono was recently taken apart stitch by stitch for us, and the pieces cleaned and pressed, ready for you to re-use as you wish. This exact print will never be available again - as with most kimono silks, the artisan weavers only made enough for one kimono, and we had all the pieces. These are the last ones; sold per piece.
